The rhetorical situation of this advertisement is a non mutual love for a female that chose another person as her significant other. The audience of this advertisement is in my honest opinion children between the ages of 5-11 who play with lego toys and other of legos products. The audience might also be Star Wars fans that like to collect memorabilia relating to the drama of the movie. The purpose of the advertisement is to entice adults to buy the Lego product for their kids or maybe even themselves. The mode is a visual, static image made to be on printed products. The media for this advertisement has the potential to be in magazines (print); online ads such as banners on websites, pop ups, the beginning of YouTube videos, on the sides of social networking websites like Facebook, Instagram, or Snapchat; television ads such as Super Bowl ads, in between sitcoms or even right before movies; and the list is only limited to your imagination. The rhetorical appeals used in this advertisement is almost exclusively pathos, basically because it tells a story that almost everyone can relate to which is love. The style of this ad is minimialist style and I would remediate this ad with a short film acting out the story depicted in the advertisement.
